This hands-on phase equips learners with skills across multiple adventure disciplines. By completing practical exercises in diverse environments, learners become adaptable and valuable assets in the adventure tourism industry.

Practical Skills for Real-World Adventure

Skills are taught in the following adventure activities. These include hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, abseiling, 4×4 and camping. At the end, learners will be multi-skilled in a variety of adventure disciplines. This makes learners employable in different areas and benefits the adventure organisation to offer multi adventure activities to paying clients.

RESOURCES

Adventure equipment includes hiking gear, mountain bikes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets, ropes and PPE, 4×4 vehicle and recovery gear and camping equipment.

First aid training also equips learners with the knowledge and experience to deal with medical situations.
